Stage 7: Tour De France

Today was a relief. A true flat stage. The TDF organizers probably wanted to reward the sprinters after getting them obliterated on stage 6 climbs. And honestly, I, too thank them. It was good to not climb for a day.

We had a late start to the day but ran into Patrick Hinckel 🇫🇷 and his cycling group who pulled us and until we joined with @donnonsdesellesauvelo. The rest of the ride was coasting in the peloton at reasonable speeds which helped get us to Bordeaux by 5pm. A real achievement given our history of finishing really late.

We ended up at the Place des Quinconces where they were showing the @letourdefrance stage 6. So we sat and watched the last 20 minutes of the race. You would thinking after seven hours of cycling we would want to do something else other than watch more TDF - but no, you would be wrong to think otherwise.
