Stage 12: Tour De France

Today was a pretty nice day on all levels. Physically I felt more rested and relaxed on the bike. I sat better in my bike seat. I know that sounds weird but I am rarely comfortable on my bike seat. It’s almost something I have just accepted and live with. Today was different though - somehow there were little to no discomfort.

On the climbs I felt light and enjoyed every moment. A few times I pushed the pace but generally rode in a controlled manner.

The other part that made the ride nice was the cloudy weather. Compared to yesterday- it was heaven.

Regarding the route - this was probably one of my favorites. We spent most of the day in the rolling hills of Beaujolais. This is a place famous for its good wine. While I didn’t try wine, I will add it to my list. The region delivered some nice climbs and the downhill were even more amazing.

Tomorrow starts a series of consecutive climbs as we head into the alps. Wish us luck and even better, help support our cause.
