Stage 4: Tour De France

End of the stage at the Nogaro Circuit

This was yet another rolling hill stage that was categorized as flat but had over 7,000 ft of climbing. Someone please talk to @letourdefrance to categorize anything above 5,000 ft as climbing.

The stage featured France’s iconic wineries and generally farmlands. Definitely a little boring especially for my cycling partner who doesn’t like flats. The sun beat on us mercilessly in the French country side as we counted wineries with no end in sight.

The highlight was us running out of water and as luck would have it, a lovely French lady who needed help getting her phone from a ditch gave us water (thanks to Javo’s long reach in the gutters).

The stage ended in the Nogaro circuit that we were not around to cycle around. Next are the mountain stages..wish us luck.
