Stage 16: Tour De France

Well, started the day with plans to rest my painful calf - let’s say that plan was soon abandoned in the first 15 minutes.

Why? Jumbo visma.

First Wout Van Aert passed by and we all went crazy. Some of us. We hunted him down on his TT bike and caught up to him.

A few minutes in, Jonás caught up and the rest of the team. At this point, I was too committed to back down. So I followed them to the end of the TT.

WVT obviously dropped us on the climb so I hang with the rest of the his teammates.

Keep in mind this was their recovery ride. Meanwhile I was in red. Zone 2 for them and zone 4 for me.

Update: on the way down we saw the Yates brother and then Tadej Pogačar Pogi passed by. Followed for a bit but had a schedule to keep. He was busy chatting away and laughing. What a joy!!
